DIGITAL TEACHING

In this article, the Higher Education Forum on Digitisation collects information that deals with the topic around the Corona crisis and the cancelled face-to-face events, showing how e-learning and digital tools can be used to continue university teaching and replace face-to-face events in these times.

WHAT IS IT ABOUT? As an OVGU staff member, you can learn in this Moodle course how to transform your teaching offer into a partially digitised course step by step. Just follow the learning diary and afterwards you will know

•     how to manage and structure your course in the digital domain
•     how to communicate with your learners
•     how to use your existing learning materials for independent digital learning
•     how you can possibly gain new perspectives on your own teaching.

OVGU staff can find a video tutorial here via Moodle for a quick introduction to the OBS Studio programme. It describes a possible approach to converting classic lecture content into a highly compressed and thus manageable video format. It is primarily aimed at teachers who have had little or no experience in this area and are looking for a quick solution to convert their own teaching. The approach presented in the tutorial is:

    free of charge
    quick to implement (as no extraordinary prerequisites are needed)
    easy to learn
    independent of the procedure/programme with which the previous lecture slides were created.

Compact lectures, twice a week on Mondays and Thursdays at 3 p.m., completely online in livestream and with interaction possibilities - that is the new digital event series "Leuphana Home Sessions" of the Leuphana Professional School on broad topics from areas such as philosophy, digital change, law, gender and diversity, theology or history.
